It’s among the Best and most populated course in the institution. The students are taught and get knowledge on Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electrical Installation and Wiring and Solar Voltaic technology. At the end of the course students are able to do installation of electricity, wiring, and electrical fitting. With very professional and renowned Electrical Trainers, the trainees become very competent in the Electricity and solar Installation. It has the following course levels:-

1. CRAFT CERTIFICATE IN ELECTRICAL & ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING (POWER)

The course is intended to provide students with technical skills required by industry. A graduate at craft certificate level will be expected to develop skills in all electrical skills, electronics and power Technology This qualification provides the graduates with an avenue for progression into Diploma and more other higher levels in electrical and electronics engineering.

QUALIFICATIONS

For someone to pursue this course must have attained a mean grade of D (PLAIN) and above in high school level.

2. ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION ARTISAN COURSE

It’s a two years course which is tested by the Kenya National Examination council. A trainee who achieves this Artisan certificate is able to further his/her Electrical career up to a craft level , then Diploma and Ends up to pursue Degree in future. The trainees are also trained Business Skills, Technical Drawing, Science, Mathematics and Entrepreneurship which is referred as support subject.

QUALIFICATIONS

Anyone who is in possession of a Kenya Certificate of Primary Education [KCPE] or Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education [KCSE] can join this Artisan certificate course.

2. ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION AND WIREMAN GRADE III

It’s a one year course and at the end of the year, trainees are able to do electrical installation and wiring job.

Qualifications

It’s a course for those who unable to further their studies i.e. School Dropouts and those who wish to have a career as Electricians. Anyone who holds a KCSE certificate, KCPE certificate, or those who are able to read and write can join. It’s tested by the National Industrial Training Authority [NITA] Examination Body. The examination is done in November/December.

3. ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION AND WIREMAN GRADE II

This is a course meant to further the studies for those who are holding a Grade III certificate. It’s a six months course and it’s done both in Fulltime or Part Time Basis. For those with a pass in Grade III course are qualified to do this course. It’s also examined by the National Industrial Training Authority (NITA) 0n July / August – exam series.

4. ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION AND WIREMAN GRADE I

It’s a course meant for those who still need to gain more knowledge and want to master the Electrical skills. It is a six months course and can be done in Full Time or Part Time basis. For those who are holding a Grade II certificate in Electrical Installation qualify to do this course. It’s also examined by the National Industrial Training Authority (NITA) on July/ August exam series.
